These are some reeds I have made (Reed 2, 4, 5, 6) and have worked on (Reed 1, 3).
None have be very playable (I suck), but I do love my turban technique :D I’m quite the fan of the bigger, bulkier turbans.

Help - Bassoon Quartet Names?

So I’m in a Bassoon Quartet (I play contra :D), and we will be performing at our Double Reed day and a couple more recitals and such. And we’ve been racking our brains to come up with a name for our group, but have been unsuccessful. What would be an original/creative/funny/anything name for a Bassoon Quartet?

I know I have lots of creative followers (C’mon, we’re music kids), so if you guys have any ideas, please send them to me(:

Thank you all so much <3

10 Day Bassoon Challenge: Day 3

How long have you played bassoon? If you don’t, would you like to?

I actually just recently celebrated my 3rd Anniversary of playing Bassoon(: It has definitely been the best 3 years of my life.

Robert: What are you looking at?
Me: Sex.
Robert: No really, what are you looking at?
Me: Bluecoats 2011.
Robert: Same thing.
10 Day Bassoon Challenge: Day 2

How many other people have you met who play the bassoon?

Oh goodness. So many. I would have to say.. Probably 20 people. And I’ve liked every single one of them(:

10 Day Bassoon Challenge: Day 1

Where did you first hear the bassoon, and what was your first impression?

The first time I even came across the Bassoon was in my 7th grade Woodwind class. A friend of mind switched to it from Flute.

My first impression? “LOLWTF?” in 7th grade language.
